For that reason, I suggest that all my clients Request their Criminal Records.
There are 3 ways to do this:
1. Drive Downtown. Pay to park, pay a
per sheet copy price of $2.00 to $3.00 or more from your County Clerk's Office.
Maybe you won't have to take a day off. But I doubt this will be an easy or
fun experience.
2. Request an On-Line Report from some
company that you don't know who will charge you somewhere between $25 and $45
dollars for a report. Maybe a bit less, maybe a bit
more.
3. Ask me to run you a copy. If I'm your
locator, I will provide you with a copy for less than the going
rate:
- $9.95 for a Florida only Report
- $14.95 for Florida and One Other State
- $19.95 for Florida and more than 1 other state.
I can't provide a Federal Criminal Report
or one from 8 states. Please remember, my reports
are based on public records and I cannot include the
following states: AR, DE, ME, MA, MT, ND, SD, or WY. But I usually see the same information that the apartments and employers will
find.

Once you have your Criminal Record, I suggest that all my clients verify the accuracy of the dates and charges, and keep a copy with you (In Your TIP Folder ....if you have one) while you are actively searching for your new Apartment.
You really should make sure all your charges and dates are correct. Some of my clients report "There Are Some Surprises" on their records.
This could be because of the confusion surrounding an arrest and trial, many of my clients don't really remember the exact charge or the dates of their arrest or conviction. Some apartments assume that you are filing a fraudulent lease application when you are merely confused: this can lead to a loss of your application fee, administration fee and deposit. So be warned!
You can pay to run criminal report, or ask me to run it for a small charge. Either way, be sure to let me know the results because I want to help you "get past" any and all issues.
